| Rehabilitation Associates
emphasizes a one on one approach to patient
care, starting from the moment you walk in the
door. Essential to quality care is having a good
understanding of your problem, and the basis for
the treatment(s) that are chosen to help you.
Rehabilitation Associates therapists are
committed to making you an informed partner in
your own care. Treatments are usually
exercise-based, incorporating specific exercises
or techniques to improve flexibility, range of
motion, strength, muscle performance and
endurance as well as promoting better balance,
walking skills, safety from falls and correction
of posture or body mechanics. We utilize
free-weights, cable-system resistance,
isokinetic equipment, therapy balls, rollers and
other equipment, when appropriate. As no single
method works for everyone, we use a variety of
different treatments and protocols, sometimes
combining them to help you reach your goals.
We provide many manual therapy techniques and
employ most of the common therapeutic
modalities, to help reduce pain and/or muscle
spasm, restore neuromuscular function or correct
other problems preventing you from getting the
most from your therapy session.
You can expect to take control of your own
problem early in your rehabilitation, with an
individualized home exercise program. The
exercises are seldom very complicated or time
consuming, but fundamental to speeding your
recovery. Your physician is notified of the
results of your first visit, and receives
periodic progress updates.
Rehabilitation Associates is proud of the fact
that our patients have consistently reported a
high level of satisfaction with their therapy.
We believe that the cause of most
dissatisfaction in any physical therapy
experience is working with someone who seems too
busy or doesn't care to take the time to work
with you. At Rehabilitation Associates, you can
be assured that we will always put you, the
patient, first. |
